EES Draft Scope Public Comments Invited
Public consultation on the draft Scoping Requirements is open from 19 July to 9 August 2017.
Public comments are invited on these draft Scoping Requirements in relation to matters that should be investigated and documented as part of the Environment Effects Statement (EES) process for Hanson Construction Materials Pty Ltd’s proposed granite quarry at Bunyip North.
This is your opportunity to make sure that your concerns regarding the proposed quarry will be investigated during the EES process, so please take some time to read carefully through the Draft Scope Document, look for any errors but more importantly look for any areas of concern that may be missing or appear to not be fully addressed.
This feedback will inform the final scoping requirements that will provide guidance to the proponent about what to include in their preparation of an Environment Effects Statement. The final scoping requirements will be made publicly available.
A copy of the draft Scoping Requirements can be downloaded from the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning’s website at
Any comments received will be considered during the finalisation of the Scoping Requirements.
Please note that any submissions on the draft Scoping Requirements will be treated as public documents.
